Means of access From Heraklion airport take the national road in direction of Rethymon. Take the exit for Moires.
Follow this road until Moires then follow sign for Tympaki. You pass Festos on your left then next village to your right is Voroi.
Hints and Tips Kommos Beach is the nesting ground for the caretta caretta turtle and is proctected by environment law. During the summer months the University of Toronto is excavating a Minoan Palace at Kommos beach. Many other beaches in the area. In Voroi you will find the Museum of Cretan Ethnology. Near by antiquities: Festos, Ag. Triada, Gortyna. Many monasteries and old churches are in the area.
