Artistic, archaeological and gastronomic routes: At St. Girolamo (2 Km) sculptures by Giovanni della Robbia. In Mazzolla (7 Km) enchanting view and a good trattoria. Ancient copper-mine in Montecatini Val di Cecina (16 Km,). In San Vivaldo (24 Km), chapels with sculptures in baked clay, which reproduce the Holy Mountain of Jerusalem. In Colle Val d’Elsa (26 Km), a medieval village, glass and crystal handicraft. In Terricciola and Badia di Morrona (34 Km) high quality cheese and wines. In Larderello (35 Km) the geysers and fumaroles of the “Devil Valley”, nowadays a source of geothermic energy. Ausstattung der Küche war für deutsche Mieter leicht ungwöhnlich, uns fehlte z.B. eine Kaffeemaschine oder Kaffeefilter, insgesamt aber nett und individualistisch

"Séjour excessivement agréable avec des hôtes d'une grande gentillesse et d'une très grande disponibilité.La maison est excessivement bien situé à quelques minutes de Volterra et à moins d'une heure de Florence, Sienne, Pise...Je recommande sans aucune réserve cette maison à quiconque veut passer un beau séjour en Toscane.
