By Car - from North: Highways A1 direction Bologna; take the Parma-LaSpezia deviation(Cisa highway) towards Livorno; exit at Pisa Centro, you will continue along the FI-PI-LI local road, exit at Ponsacco-Pontedera; follow directions to Volterra-Villamagna and ultimately Siena (do not go up to the city of Volterra), turn right when you see the sign to Mazzolla and follow the road with trees albeuntil the first turn to the left, then follow the signs indicating "Villanovia" and/or "Itinerario dei due castelli" (yellow touristic signs)
