"This apartment was centrally located and a lovely clean and friendly village. We sat out on the balcony whenever we finished our excursions for the day. We were able to discover this lovely island in 14 days, taking in the race as well. The cheese and chocolate were my favorites. The day before we left, we experienced the 5.9 earthquake that woke me and my travel mate in complete confusion ( what the heck was that! ) Herminio was a fabulous host. Taking care of our every need. ( The only negative for us was the beds were a little on the hard side for us 2. Other than that we would recommend this apartment and the island to all. It is absolutly breathtaking. We will be back, maybe closer to the summer as we would have liked to have gone to the villa franca island. Thank you Herminio."

"Great place to stay! Perfect location. Vila Franca is very convenient. It''s easy to reach west as well as east shore of Sao Miguel. Only 15 min to Ponta Delgada, 20 to Furnash, 20 to Ribeira Grande. The apartments are space, well equipped and nice decorated. Supermarket and gas station nearby. Free wi-fi and direct ocean view. You fall a sleep and wake up under sound of ocean - Fantastic!!! We enjoyed our vacation in this place."

I can say - this accomodation is a great place for a vacation.It is perfect house.This is no weak points - only best words about it.And the town and it surrounds are wonderful too.Herminio is very friendly.We are happy that our vacation was here.

"Very peaceful, quiet little area. The house was perfect and the scene couldn''t be better. All the travel brochures and books are in the house so you can plan your own trip and the free wi-fi is very useful. The house was super clean and perfect for families. It''s close to the marina/ beach and the neighbors are friendly and polite. It''s a piece of heaven and Herminio made the place perfect."

"We would keep this place top secret so that we can guarantee it is available when we go back to Sao Miguel again. But, the owner is so wonderful and the place is so great, we can not keep it a secret. The location and accommodations were top-of-the-line in every way and we will definitely return again & again. The owner is an added bonus and even after being back home just 2 weeks, he is dearly missed! Take the opportunity to enjoy this special place before WE reserve it first!"
