" The country house "Assolo" is situated in the Vicchio area (birthplace of Giotto and Beato Angelico) on a hill 500 m above sea level in a quiet and panoramic position in the heart of Mugello near Florence. All around there are beautiful chestnut woods with centuries old trees. It is an ideal starting point to walk and relax but also to discover the tuscan cities of art such as Florence, Siena, Pisa, Lucca, Arezzo. Florence is only 40 kms from the house and is reachable by panoramic roads or by train. Only a few kms from here you can fish, ride a horse, play tennis and golf, go canoeing, sail at Bilancino Lake or even visit the International Autodrome of Mugello. If you love the strong emotions there is a flight centre, where you can glide or fly on light aircrafts. Mugello is a green valley that is still unpolluted. It conserves some unique characteristics of tuscan traditions. You can discover historical villages, castles and charming landscapes. The country house "Assolo" for 6 pers., 100 m2 on the ground floor, rustic and antique furnishings: - living/dining room with open fireplace and satellite TV - kitchen (6 hotplaces, oven, fridge and frizer) - 3 bedrooms (2 double beds and 1 twin beds) - 1 bathroom (shower, bidet, wc) - large garden in panoramic position in front of the house . "Lidia and Claudio are undoubtly perfect hostesses. The house (Le Villorelle) is very comfortable and with a lovely view from the surrounding mountains. Great swimming pool and safe/spacious parking lot. Our dog (mzzl) had also an incredible time! Beside easy (train) access to Florence (every hour), Vicchio (7 kms away) has all the facilities for the basic shoppings. If you like nature and peace, I would not hesitate in recommending to stay at "Le Villorelle"."
