Airport taxi service can be arranged (Granada 52 Euros, Malaga 80 Euros). Bus & train transport is available as well. We do advance shopping for late/Sunday arrivals. Breakfasts may also be offered. The traditional, hospitable village of Ventorros de San Jose lies in an uncrowded area near Granada, 20´north of Andalucia´s principal motorway A92. Here live proud but tolerant farmers & Mediterranean freethinkers, whose motto is "live and let live". No crime, no tour buses, no traffic jams! Everyone greets each other in this village deep in the heart of Carmen & Paco de Lucia land. The hosts have resided 30 years in Spain (formerly teachers, now travel writers). The summer (May-Sept) is much pleasanter at this lovely 900m altitude than on the Spanish coast or islands: fresh nonhumid mountain air, cool evenings. Both guest cottages are family-friendly, fully equipped, ground floor (no wheelchairs), ecologic (modern thermal brick), summer-cool, winter-cosy. Rental fees include cleaning & laundry charges. Good value for lunch & dinner are offered daily at 500 m. away in the neighboring bar-restaurant. Smoking and drinking are allowed in the cottages and the village.
