" Charming gîte on the edge of a gorgeous Cévennes hamlet, with commanding view over the area Location: The Mas Perché, a group of restored seventeen century buildings, is on the edge of a well-preserved, pedestrian-only hamlet which dates back to the same period. It faces the 25 hectare-unspoilt domain which borders the Cevennes National Park and is only 10 minutes away from Anduze and Alès. Amenities: the gîte is an old sheepfold. Peace and quiet is guaranteed. There is a large shared private swimming-pool (salt water, no smell of chlorine, no allergic reactions),opened all year long with sauna, with secured access and commanding view on the Cévennes and domain. The private car park is shared. The rooms are well-equipped with regulated temperatures all year round. The decoration is cosy with old furniture, a fire-place and a barbecue on a large terrace. A footpath runs alongside the property. Non smokers requested. "

" Other good points Very close facilities with supermarkets and various shops in Alès and Anduze (10 minutes away). Excellent markets of local produce in the surrounding villages. Lots of typical restaurants close by. Walking and bike trails which start at the house. Footpaths in the woody park of the domain. Famous sites to be discovered in the near vicinity such as La Bambouseraie, the caves of Trabuc, of Demoiselles, the Cévennes touristic train as well as the Cévennes National Park… "

How to get there • From Lyon, leave the motorway at Bollène, take the direction Bagnols-sur-Cèze, Alès then the local road D50 towards Saint-Jean-du-Pin. When leaving Saint-Jean-du-Pin turn right onto the D217 towards Générargues-Anduze then take a right at the sign Carnoulès. • From Nîmes, take the direction Alès then follow the instructions above. • From Anduze, take the North exit to the D129, direction La Bambouseraie (parish of Générargues), then at Générargues go straight on, on the D50, towards Saint-Sébastien-d'Aigrefeuille - (do not turn right towards Alès). Take the D217 which passes in front of the Saint-Sébastien d'Aigrefeuille townhall ("mairie"), go as far as the sign Carnoulès which tells you to turn left round a hair-pin bend.
