" Le Petit Manoir and La Fermette are 17th century converted stone farm buildings adjoining. It is possible to rent both cottages for larger groups of up to 20 people. 3kms from the town of St Martin des Besaces, in Normandy. The town has a small supermarket, restaurant,bakers, butchers etc, on Saturdays there is a market in the square. The cottage is at the end of a pretty lane in tranquil countryside with beautiful views down the valley. Ideal for a relaxing holiday. You can find many fishinglakes within 10 mins drive, golf, rambling and picnic areas. For the more adventurous ther is bungy jumping, canoeing, karting and rock climbing. "

" Bayeux is a "must see" visit the famous Tapestry and Cathederal. Also one of the most impressive British and Commonwealth war memorials and cemetries in Normandy straddles the Bayeux peripherique. The Bayeux market is on Saturday and Wednesday and not far are the Normandy landing beaches. Arromanches with its Mulberry Harbour, great views from the cliffs, museum and circular cinema. All alonng this coastline it is steeped in history. Beautiful safe sandy beaches stretch for miles if you want to lay in the sun. Many good restaurants serving a variety of local specialities, seafood is good. Caen with its Castle, Abbey, gardens, shops, restaurants and markets. Nearby at Carpiquet is Festyland an amusement park for children. Vire a charming market town in the Vire gorges you will find the valley de la Soulevre with one of the worlds largest Bungy jumps for those who dare, also an aerial slide, adventure park and go kart track. Jurques a zoological park with an adventure playgroundand bouncy castle area. Champrepus,another zoo great fot children. Mont St Michel, a legendary site on the Brittany coast that never fails to stir the imagination with its splendid aura. Don't forget your camera.
