Studio- Apartment SIVAS CRETE GREECE

"Horiatiko Spiti I have travelled in Creta for many years and stayed in many nice places, but Horiatiko Spiti in the beautiful village Sivas is by far my most favorite place. I have come back here every year for the last 5 years. The hosts Maria and Michalis Kassoti greets every guest with warm friendliness that makes you feel welcome and at home. To wake up to the sounds of the village and step out in their beautiful garden in the morning is for me the best way to start my days in Crete. The studios are very comfortable, clean and with all the facilities you need the upstairs studios have a full view of the village and the beautiful mountains. Downstairs you can enjoy the garden with orange trees, herbs and beautiful flowers. The tavernas and shops, school, church, are around the corner in the village square. The surroundings are perfect for long or short walks, my favorite walk is from Sivas to the beach through olive fields and small villages on the way. I will always come back to Horiatiko Spiti!"

"ENGLISH VERSION: (sotto versione italiana) I spent here a wonderful holiday! The house is into the lovely country of Sivas (full of excellent little ristorants, mini market and a wonderful shop of handmade ceramic), everything is reacheble by foot in 2 minutes. The house is in the country but very quiet. The owner, Maria and Michele, both native of Crete, have been extremily kind with us and very welcoming, so that we fell like at home! (we didn''t want to leave!!). The house is delicious: in the centre of a typical Cretean court, wonderfully rich of herbs typical of Crete and coloured flowers. On the court are the guest and the owner appartments, everyone has a porch where you have your table to eat out. This is a wonderful occasion to see the real Crete ant to talk with people of Crete (in english too). We will be back for sure, and we have alredy suggest this house to friends and relatives. ITALIANO: Ho passato qui delle vacanze meravigliose! La casa si trova al centro del fanastico paesino di Sivas (pieno di ottimi ristorantini e di tutto quel che serve -market, e un negozio di ceramica bellissima), tutto comodamente raggiungibile a piedi. La casa è in paese ma è comunque molto silenziosa e appartata. I proporietari, Maria e Michele, entrambi originari di creta, sono stati gentilissimi ed accoglienti, tanto che noi ci siamo sentiti a casa(non volevamo più ripartire)!! L''appartamentino è delizioso, al centro di un cortile tipico cretese, splendidamente ricco di erbe di Creta e di fiori colorati che Michele cura ogni giorno. Sul cortile affacciano gli appartamenti degli ospiti e degli stessi proprietari, ognuno ha un piccolo portico privato dove poter mangiare o fare colazione, se lo desidera. E'' una splendida occasione per poter conoscere la vera Creta e poter parlare con persone del posto (noi non conosciamo il greco e abbiamo parlato solo in inglese, che qui molti parlano), che non esitano a trasportarti nel loro affascinante mondo e nella loro cultura. Noi torneremo qui certamente e abbiamo già consigliato questo soggiorno ad amici e parenti!"

Sivas ist ein kleiner Ort im Süden Kretas, oberhalb von Matala. Die ursprünglichen Steinhäuser werden wieder hergestellt und so entwickelt sich das Dorf sehr zu seinem Vorteil. Von Sivas bis zum Comos Beach benötigt man mit dem Pkw ca. 10 Minuten. Die Pension Horiatiko Spiti liegt etwa 2 Minuten zu Fuß von der Platia entfernt, also ruhig. Tavernen"technisch" ist das Dorf mit 4 Tavernen sehr gut ausgestattet. Die Pension ist ein wunderschön mit viel Liebe hergerichtetes und angebautes altes Dorfhaus. Es ist alles blitzblank. Das bewertete Appartment befindet sich im Erdgeschoss und ist wunderbar kühl auch bei der größten Hitze und hat wie alle anderen Appartments auch eine kleine, schattige Terrasse im Innenhof und läßt nichts zu wünschen übrig, inkl. Fernseher, W-Lan.... (wer mag)! Maria und Michalis sind Vermieter aus dem Bilderbuch, unglaublich freundlich, hilfsbereit und immer bemüht, dass man sich wirklich wohl fühlt! Erwähnenswert ist noch noch superleckere, biologische Olivenöl aus eigener Herstellung! Wir waren bestimmt nicht zum letzten Mal hier! Es lohnt sich!
