" Our holiday rental is located on the canal that connects the small harbour to the big harbour of Syracuse, overlooking the large square called the Riva della Posta. From its balconies you can admire the fishing boats moored, the sea of the small harbour to the east and the one of the big harbour to the west . The house can accommodate up to eight people with four spacious double bedrooms, a kitchen stocked with dishes and utensils, a living room with TV, dining table and sofa; two bathrooms, one with tub / shower. The kitchen has a small balcony overlooking a courtyard, always very quiet. Three rooms have a small balcony that look out to sea. In the courtyard there is a parking space for guests (max car lenght 4 meters) and the bus terminal is less than 100 meters away from the apartment. The apartment is located very close to the pedestrian area but outside of it and there are several parking spaces on the square as well. It is located 100m from the colourful market of Ortigia where every morning from Monday to Saturday you can shop for fresh local seafood, meats, fruits and vegetables at reasonable prices, and it is located 100m away from the old market, a venue for exhibitions and events , 200m away from the Temple of Apollo, a fascinating Greek temple, 350m away from the Marina Promenade, 400 meters away from Town Hall Solarium (free) where every summer some wooden platforms are located, 600m away from the beautiful Piazza Archimede and 800m away from Piazza Duomo. With a small fee you can rent a 1 baby cot, 1 stroller, 1 table seat and 1 child car seat. "

"We can hardly wait to return to Sicily and stay in Ortigia again. We thought it was the best of all our accomodations during our 4 weeks away. It was nice to get a bunch of maps and information on the area upon our arrival. It assisted us in deciding what to do. The Pupi Theater was wonderful."

"Giorgio''s spacious and airy apartment provides an ideal base for exploring Ortygia, Siracusa and the region. The apartment has a view over the channel between Ortygia and the mainland, with a constant coming and going of fishing boats and pleasure boats. We were traveling without a car, but found it easy to get around -- next to the sites of Ortygia, within walking distance of the historical areas of Siracusa, and convenient for regional buses,for example to Noto. While most of Ortygia is medieval with narrow streets and limited light, this area is more open. It is an early 20th century building, with generous proportions and lovely spaces. The apartment was well supplied, very clean, and remained cool in an unseasonable heat wave. It is close to the market which has wonderful local produce, preserves and fish. Giorgio was a gracious, well-informed and helpful host and his recommendations were good."

"Dans un ancien palais, appartement très spacieux, propre, agréable et très bien placé sur l''île d''Ortiggia, devant la mer, parking gratuit juste devant, centre ville historique à 10-15'' à pied. Les chambres sont spacieuses, l''ensemble de l''appartement a conservé son style ancien qui lui donne beaucoup de charme. Accueil très sympathique et chaleureux de Giorgio et de ses adorables parents, nous sommes arrivés après Noël et ils avaient mis une décoration de Noël et des friandises pour nos (cinq) enfants...ainsi qu''une caisse de jouets pour notre petite dernière. Nous serions ravis d''y revenir et le conseillerions à nos amis. Une famille nombreuse parisienne"
