"Die Wohnung liegt sehr zentral im typisch sizilianischen Städtchen Sciacca inmitten eines großen Obstgartens. Früher war das Grundstück offensichtlich ein landwirtschaftlicher Betrieb (Obstbau), der mittlerweile von der städtebaulichen Entwicklung eingeholt wurde. Im ehemaligen Hofgebäude wurden in den letzten Jahren zwei nebeneinanderliegende Wohnungen liebevoll restauriert. Die Vermieter sind sehr nett, sehr diskret (sie wohnen in einer Villa auf dem großen Gelände, aber vollständig separat) und haben uns sehr nett empfangen (Lebensmittelkorb). Wenn man täglich selbst kochen will, stößt man bei den Kochutensilien schnell auf Grenzen. Wir haben dann z.B. nach Tassen und einer Teekanne gefragt und haben ein niegelnagelneues Service ein paar Stunden später auf dem Tisch vorgefunden. Das um uns rum wachsende Obst (Apfelsinen, Mandarinen, Granatapfel usw.) haben wir täglich genossen. Man lebt in einer grünen Oase und ist doch nur wenige Meter von der Innenstadt und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten entfernt. Die Strände (Brandung, Steine, nicht flachabfallend) sind nicht so schön wie auf der Nordseite der Insel. Das einzige was wirklich zu bemängeln wäre, sind die Matratzen (sehr hart)."

"Der Vermieter war sehr freundlich und entgegenkommend, nannte gute Lokale und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten für Wein und Delikatessen. Das Quartier war sehr ruhig trotz zentraler Lage zum Zentrum und zum Hafen. Privater Parkplatz vor der Haustür. Orangen- und Zitronenhain zum Selbstpflücken."

"Appartement très agréable et bien situé pour aller à la découverte de Sciacca et de la Sicile occidentale : un vrai dépaysement à la fois culturel, historique et gastronomique ... (et en plus c'était l'été en automne !). Merci aussi pour le panier de bienvenue et pour le soin apporté à l'équipement de ce joli appartement."
