XVII century house with character

"A nice ancient house, very well decorated and comfortably equipped. The true Mallorcan hospitality of owners. Cleanness is out of question. Parking is big enough even for a family car, if your experience allows easily driving in the narrow streets of old cities. Santa Margalida is perfectly located for tourist trips, being a nice quiet village ideal for romance or family trip with children. This very particular house made our staying pleasantly memorable."

"We had a very interesting time in a magnificent house. Ideal located to explore several parts by car. Santa Margalida is not a typical tourist location therefore more vibrant as other places on Mallorca in winter. The lodging with its charm and coziness given through the furnishings, patio and special illuminations of walls, rooms and entrance area enhanced our stay. Build in the architecture of majorcan inner villages with its narrow streets. Certainly clean, comfortable and spacious. Of course recommendable. Personally I would like to come back. "Everything was as described and we really enjoyed our stay in Santa Margalida. The house is very cosy and well equiped, especially the kitchen and the bathrooms. The person in charge of the house (Maria) is very nice and helped us with our concerns. Unfortunately she only speakes spanish. The bicycles which were avialable for us had been in very bad condition, so really useless (for going to the beach you must have a car). The town is nice, but small, the local bakery has nice stuff and the bars in town are in walking distance. It is quiet and clean, but car parking is a bit of an effort, due to the small streets."

The house was very well furnished, beautiful and antique. Very complete. Beds could be a little better, but the nice bathroom with view of the tower of the church, the roofterrace and patio, and the rest of the house surely compensated this. Santa Margalida was a nice not touristy place with good bus service to Can Picafort, great place also to go biking to Muro and other places via ecovies; though you can hear the airplanes flying over... and sometimes the street can be a litte noisy at night or early in the morning; though the surroundings in general are pretty quiet. All in all, considering also the warm welcome of the owners, we would surely recommend this house if you don't mind being a little further from the beach and appreciate a more authentic mallorcan atmosphere.

"Stunning, three storey historic townhouse in the middle of a traditional village. Definitely off the beaten track and fabulous if you detest resorts. You do need a car though and probably a small one if you want to squeeze it into the garage. The house itself is expertly furnished with a mixture of antiques and modern art. Good beaches and the atmospheric old town of Pollensa are an easy drive away."
