A hamlet surrounded by woodland, with a stream and valley famed for mushrooms. This area (Boischaud Sud) cherished by George Sand (Nohant 35kms) was made famous by Jacques Tati when he filmed "Jour de Fêtes" at Ste Sévère (10kms) in 1948. This farmhouse, restored by a couple from Paris and their three grandchildren is suitable also for young families. Charmingly maintened and decorated by an artistc family, the house offers a piano whith some music provided, barbecue, apparatus portico,padding pool and children toys. The first floor offers a large bedroom with open beams (45m2) opening onto a bedroom for two children and a bathroom (shower, wc, washstand). A roomy landing offers a work area, screen, corner divan, and country chair. On the ground floor the sitting room with open fire gives onto a large airy kitchen (dishwasher Mielle, washing machine Thomson, clothes-horse Siemens) , dining area (with 2 convertible beds), hall with sofa bed and athroom (bath, wc, washstand). Animals : large or small welcome on the ground floor (only the very well behaved upstairs) ; outside space for 1 or 2 horses (please give advance notice fot straw/hay requirements). Flowers, fruit and logs for the fire in season. NB : personal transport indispensable.
