" A lovely two-bedroom family home, Dragana offers everything you could wish for on a relaxing island holiday. Set in spacious grounds, the property, one of two, has ample courtyard parking and extensive lawns shaded by olive trees. A flight of marble steps leads to the shady portico, which catches the slightest cooling breeze in the hottest part of the day. One bedroom opens onto the eastern terrace that catches the early morning sun – a perfect place to enjoy a leisurely breakfast, with a gorgeous view of the mountains and a glimpse of Albania over the olive groves. Leading directly off the lounge, the western terrace has a covered pergola with table and chairs for six – ideal for al fresco dining and entertaining. From here you can see the picturesque village of Sfakera and watch the sun set over the woodlands to the west. The open plan living room has a full size dining table and seating for six as well as a comfortable seating area and fully equipped kitchen. "

" The old fishing village of Roda is only a short walk away. It is a family friendly resort with a palm-fringed sandy beach and a wide choice of Greek tavernas and English and Italian restaurants as well as shops, supermarkets, ATMs, car hire and pretty much anything else you could think of, from fishing tackle and water sports to quad bike safaris to the summit of Mount Pantokrator. The village is situated mid-way along the north coast of the island where the land is quite flat, which makes it ideal for cycling. There are half a dozen different beaches within easy reach by bike (available to rent by the day or week in the village) so a car is only necessary if you want to explore further afield. Most of the hotel swimming pools around Roda are open to the public and one of the best is the nearest, at the Pegasus Hotel, where you can relax on the free sunbeds and enjoy a drink or a light meal on the way home from the beach "
