" In the beutifull village of Atsipopoulo a few kilometers from Rethymno center, you will meet the traditional guesthouse "Villa Myrtia", in which you will feel the venetian atmosphaere. The owners have respected the traditional architecture of Crete and have used indigenous materials such as stone and wood. The name of the guesthouse came from the name of owner's village, which is the place where one of the most famous authors "Nikos Kazantzakis" was born. It awaits you to experience the Cretan hospitality, as well as pleasurable moments of relaxation and serenity. The guesthouse in maisonette style measures 150 m2 hosts up to 8 persons. On the ground floor you will find the living area with fireplace, kitchen and dining area. It also includes two bedrooms and a lavatory. The top floor consists of two bedrooms, a lavatory and a veranda with a view of the traditional village nearby. All the rooms are air-conditioned. "

See the personal website of the owner" The small village of Atsipopoulo provides amenities with super market with delivery service, cafe's, restaurant with traditional cretan food, patisserie,hair dresser's, etc. The picturesque town of Rethymno offers a variety of activities and it is just 3 km away from the guesthouse. However, when you come into the garden of the villa you feel like you are in a completely different place. It is very peaceful and ideal for relaxing. Moreover, the guesthouse has a very big advantage. the pool of the villa doesn't contain clorine, but active oxygen, which much helthier. "

"Beautiful Villa, very neat and clean. Superbly decorated. Quiet (apart from the singing of the cocks in the morning, but that is part of living in the countryside), from the terrace at the first floor a nice view of the towns roofs. Private parking, barbecue, swimming pool, sun beds. Everthing was perfect. Warmingly welcomed by the owners."

"Une superbe villa avec piscine, d une propreté impeccable avec passage des proprios deux fois par semaine pour ménage avec draps et serviettes changés, bravo!!!!endroit calme si le vieux coq du voisin ne vs gêne pas! L équipement est au top sauf la cafetière électrique qui est un peu fatigué ! Mais cela est minime par apport à la qualité des prestations de cette villa dont les propriétaires sont d une gentillesse et d un accueil exemplaires avec petites attentions à l arrivée et au départ. Merci pour ce merveilleux séjour dans votre magnifique île ou les habitants sont d une grande courtoisie!"

"Nous étions quatre dans cette spacieuse et confortable maison . les propriétaires sont très accueillants , prévenants et disponibles . Nous avons pu nous reposer et visiter quantités de sites à proximité tant sur la côte nord que sur la côte sud . Quant aux commerces et aux restaurants , nous avions l''embarras du choix. La villa est idéalement située. Et nous avons hâte d''y retourner !"
