Porretta Terme is a thermal resort situated at 400 meters above sea level, halfway between Bologna and Florence (50 km from Florence - 60 km from Bologna) along the Tosco-Emilian Apennine mountains. Famous for its thermal baths since 1200, it is surrounded by beautiful mountains such as Corno alle Scale and Mount Cimone (both easily reachable) which have seen the rise of ski champions such as Zeno Colò and Alberto Tomba. As well as the all village, the area in which the flat is situated is quiet, fresh during the summer and very charming during the winter when it is covered by snow. BERZANTINA flat (so called after the name of the road where it is situated) is at the second (third in the U.S.A.) and top floor of a beautiful villa built at the beginning of the last century surrounded by a large garden at guests' disposal shared with the owners who live at the lower floor, equipped with garden furniture, a gazebo and a barbecue. The ground floor of the villa is the seat of an art gallery run by the owners where exibitions often take place. The flat is 90 square meters large and can host up to 6 people. "

It consists of a hall, a living room with a small kitchen, a sitting room with a double sofa bed, two large rooms (one with a double bed and one with two single beds which can be put together if necessary) a bathroom with a bath tub, shower, bidet and a small laundry room. Also the furniture of the flat dates back to the last century and gives the home a special warm feeling that gives the pleasant sensation of a stay at the grannie's. BERZANTINA is very near to all kinds of services such as the railway station (100 metres), the bus station (150 metres), the highway that connects Bologna to Florence (150 metres), a large free car park opposite the house, the supermarket at 200 metres, the chemist's next door. The village of 5000 inhabitants offers typical restaurants, pizzerias, cinema, supermarkets, chemist's and very nice and exclusive shops, such as jewelries, clothes shops and sportswear bookshops, very close to one another. On Saturdays there is also a market. Very important is the possibility of availing of thermal treatments and wellness. There are also two non thermal swimming pools and numerous sports facilities. Obviously, trekking (there are a lot of beautiful paths) ski, mountain sports can be done.
