The Mugello Valley, the Green Paradise over Florence, is within easy reach (15 mins ride) and offers several terrific sites, such as the Bilancino Lake (sailing, windsurf, beaches); the MotoGP circuit Autodromo del Mugello providing plenty of sport events, Motocross International circuit at Polcanto for dirty bikes fans; the Aviosuperfice di Galliano (airport for ultra light plains and helicopters), Barberino di Mugello (12 Km - 7,5 miles) with one off the biggest Outlet Village in Italy, and the glorius breathtaking medieval towns of Scarperia and Borgo San Lorenzo. You can get to "Casa del Marchi" from SS 302 Via Faentina road from Florence to Borgo San Lorenzo. At the signpost of the Km. 18,2, turn right towards Salaiole-Montepulico. Keep on until the next signpost for Montepulico, turn right and after 2 Km you'll see the cottage entrance gate on your left. We strongly suggest to have a car since the nearest village is 4 Km away (2,5 miles).
