" Breglia has a splendid position overlooking Lake Como. It is on an old way connecting Milan and Como with Alps and Germany: the tower, a monastery and two roman tombs are testimony of the importance of this place in the past time. The village is restful, surrounded by forests rich in wildlife. Breglia centre is pedestrian only: a large free public parking is at 80m from the house. At 100m: restaurant and bar; public park for children with area for football and wolleyball; bus stop. At 400m the spring of the natural mineral water "Chiarella". At 2 km mini-market and pizzeria take away. From Breglia start numerous hikings for all levels of difficulty. On the mount Grona there is the "Rifugio Menaggio" (easy route, 1h walk): famous starting point for many mountain excursions. From the church of S. Amate (2 hours walk) extraordinary view of the lakes of Como, Lugano and Alps. In Menaggio (7km): you will find all kinds of services and sports as the famous “Menaggio & Cadenabbia Golf Club"; piers of departure for excursions by boat (Bellagio 10 min, Varenna 12 min) and the bus terminal for every directions. Markets: in Menaggio on the 2nd and 4th Friday, in Lenno on Tuesday, in Porlezza on Saturnday. "
