" "Il Pettirosso" is a charming little house recently restored with great care,fully furnished and equipped. It lies along a small river, at the foot of the hills and very close to the town centre of Pistoia. Pistoia is a quiet medieval city of art and a very good starting point and base to visit Tuscany. Florence, Lucca, Pisa and Siena can be easily reached by train or car, as well as the sea and the mountains. In winter you can get to the ski slopes of Cutigliano (40 km) or of Abetone (50 km) and come back home in the evening. In the surroundings of Pistoia you can visit the Pinocchio Park in Collodi. During carnival you can participate in the famous Carnival of Viareggio, a nice seaside city easily accessible by car and train. In July the well-known international “Festival Blues” takes place in Pistoia with a rich calendar of events and music concerts. On 25 July the “Giostra dell'Orso” is played in Pistoia according to a medieval tradition. "
