"We really enjoyed our stay here. The house has been tastefully redesigned and the two terraces on top are peaceful and provide good views - we dined there regularly at the covered table. The local restaurants and town centre are within a short walk while in the other direction there is a nice coastal walk of about 3km or so to the lighthouse. Although the waves are a little strong for swimming out to sea, Peniche is a top surfing location and you can have great fun at the beaches. We were able to visit Lisbon, Sintra, Obidos, Nazaré & Ericeira easily from here as there is good motorway access. We even drove up to the Sierra Lousa mountains for a hike. Marie-Clare and her family were very friendly hosts. They ensured that we were made welcome and that we had all we needed for a memorable stay. It was absolutely 5 stars!"
