" It's situated 10 min. by bike away for the sun-rising beach of Mondello and 15 min by car from Palermo in one of the quietest zones of Mondello-Castelforte, even in high season! A large garden and a swimming pool provide outdoor relaxation with garden chairs and hammock. Made up of a bright and comfortably living-dining room (overlooking the garden and the terrace) with cooking facilities, kitchen and table equipment, a double bed sofa, stove, iron, washing-machine. A bedroom with air conditioning, mosquito net on the bed and wide window overlooking the garden. The pool is private, about 10m.x5m. and 1.20m. deep,it is open from 23 May to 10 October. It is shared only if the owners are on the spot, occupying the other half of the villa. Pool heating is not necessary since up to October the water is warm. On the back terrace a covered patio with garden furnishing and an open terrace facing Monte Pellegrino equipped with deck-chairs and parasol. Published WEEK/PRICE is for 2 persons; Different price for 3,4 or 5 people. Final cleaning €80. The price covers: gardening and pool expenses, gas, water, bed linen, bathroom towels, private parking, electricity except air conditioning energy consumption that is 0,35 Euro/Kw. A refundable security/damage deposit of €200 is required, it has to be paid in cash locally to the key holder. " The villa is perfect for climbers, close to Monte Pellegrino. The true essence of the city: Vucciria: we suggest a walk round the Vucciria market, that spreads outs between Via Roma and Corso Vittorio Emanuele. This is one of the most characteristic places in Palermo, where there is a unique, strongly Sicilian atmosphere, that is made even more intense through the aromas of the typical local produce from the land and sea. Kalsa: this is Palermo’s Arabic quarter, where it is still possible to capture a feel of the ancient Arabic-Sicilian culture and often smell the strong aromas of the food that is prepared in the several kiosks along the streets. The center of the Kalsa quarter is the square which has the same name. The sixteenth-century gateway, Porta dei Greci, also known as Porta d’Africa, from where it is possible to glimpse the sea, is a sight worth visiting. The typical aromas of Sicilian cooking can be smelt all over Palermo, not just in the restaurants but in the city streets and squares. Traditions:Festino di Santa Rosalia – from July 9th to 15th. For four centuries in the month of July, Palermo has celebrated Santa Rosalia, who saved the city from a terrible plague in 1600 and thus became the city’s patron saint. The festival lasts for a week, a period in which the city is invaded by traveling theatrical and musical shows, all linked to the life of the saint. The height of the celebrations is the charming procession of the monumental cart that crosses the Cassaro as far as the Marina. At the end of the religious procession, there is an amazing fireworks display. "

Die Wohnung ist sehr ruhig und sauber.Sie hat eine schöne Terasse. Die Vermieterin ist sehr hilfsbereit.Von der Wohnung aus zu den Klettergebieten um Mondello sind es nur 5-15 Minuten mit dem Auto. Wer mal keine Lust zum kochen hat, die Mutter der Vermieterin kocht gute szilianische Hausmannskost. unbedingt probieren.
