Close to the romantic medieval walled city of Obidos, known for its “ginginha” (liquor of cherry) served in small chocolate glasses. At only 30 and 50 minutes from the gothic monasteries of Alcobaça and Batalha (2 out of the 7 Wonders of Portugal), not far from the shrine of Fátima, the fishing village and seaside resort of Nazaré, the water sports center of Peniche and the small archipelago of Berlengas, an ecological reserve. At hardly 1 hour from the capital, Lisbon, and a little bit more from Coimbra, one of the oldest universities in the world also famous for its beautiful baroque library. Possibility of making guided tours to the region as the owners of the windmill are both tour guides working in English, Italian, French, Portuguese, German and Spanish. "

Take the motorway A8 and leave at the exit nr. 15 for Obidos centre. Continue to the city centre of Obidos and at the roundabout leave on the 3rd exit and pass under the aqueduct. Go up about 3 km. You are going to find a sign indicating the end of a village called Capeleira, a few meters ahead there is another sign with Usseira written on it. From there to the windmill it’s approximately 1,5 km. On the road you’ll see two signs referring you shouldn’t exceed 40km per hour. At the 2nd one and as you see on your right some big antennas, slow down and then turn to the right - there is a tree on the corner - to a street called “rua do talefe”. You have arrived! The windmill is on your left hand side at number 17. Welcome! The GPS coordinates are: N 39.32538º W 9.15389ºIn the area:
