" The apartment is situated in a typical old “niçois" building within the listed port quarter. It was completely restored in 2005. Wall, ceilings, woodwork and windows, tiling, bathroom suite and furniture are all new.
The total surface area is 44 m². The main room has two windows facing the street, the kitchen and the bedroom face the courtyard. All of the apartment is air-conditioned (3 internal units) the windows have soundproof glazing and guarantee a noise-free interior, the shutters and blinds on the windows ensure satisfying dark conditions for night time.
The pull-down beds (2 x 2 beds in 140) free up space during the daytime and are just as comfortable as a fixed bed. Kitchen and bathroom are fitted with quality equipment. There is a large amount of cupboard space available throughout the apartment.
From the apartment, the seaside is just a 2 minute walk away and stretches as far as the Promenade des Anglais , the Cours Saleya market, the old town (15 minutes).

" The area: Situated in the heart of the town, immediate proximity to the port, the street has many shops, creating a lively atmosphere. All the catering establishments and services are situated less than 200m away. A supermarket is a 5 minute walk and a hypermarket a 15 minute walk. And just at the top of the street, a baker that makes...magical baguettes.
As with all coastal towns, the port is the soul of the town. Amongst the caterers and restaurant owners of the quarter is where you will find the true specialities of Nice.
Nice is the seaside. At the end of the rue Bonaparte, take the “Moyenne Corniche” (middle coast road) in the direction of Menton, passing by Eze village and Turbie and return by the “Basse Corniche” (low seaside coast road). The drive is unforgettable. If you don’t have a car, the train, which is 1.5 km from the apartment or the bus only 200m away, will take you on the same route. Antibes, Cannes, Grasse and its perfumes, Vallauris and its pottery, Biot and its glassware art are all quite near by.
Inland from Nice there is also countryside with valleys on each side and villages perched up high. Two scenic train rides: the “pignes” (pine cones) train going to Digne and the “merveilles” (wonders) train going to Tende will give you an idea of this inland countryside.
