" Farmhouse Banditello The farmhouse Banditello (6 people, about 1405 sf.), restored in 1999, enjoys a splendid view towards south and west with large hay for sitting outside. A three entrance ground floor, with french windows to the garden, has a large kitchen completely equipped ( gas machine with oven, fridge, fire place-barbecue, washing machine) with store room besides. The kitchen leads into a two room lounge with a tuscan fire place at one end, furnished with antique pieces of furniture and many sofas and armchairs. A small toilet is available at ground floor. Stone steps take to first floor wich has a master bedroom with en-suite bathroom (tub) and splendid view over Montepulciano valley. Other two twin bedrooms share a bathroom with shower. Wrought iron beds, old rustic furniture, small wooden toilet mirrors, doors and in wall- wardrobes have been choosen according tuscan country tradition. Frames and mattresses are orthopedic. Podere LE CAPANNE DI SOPRA "On the quiet slopes facing Montepulciano" Capanne di Sopra is located 1.4km from the mediaeval village of Montefollonico. It enjoys a splendid panoramic view above the Montepulciano valley and its fifteenth century church of St Biagio. The property includes two stone farmhouses, each sleeping six, surrounded by olive groves, vineyards and woods. Both have been restored in accordance with Tuscan traditions, and carefully furnished to offer a genuine and cosy atmosphere. To preserve the rural character of the site the owner chose not to build a swimming pool. There are several pools and thermal spas nearby. Both houses and gardens offer a marvellous view over the valley, with the skyline of Montepulciano to the south, Mount Amiata to the west, and the hill of Montefollonico to the north. Montefollonico itself provides everything you'll need day to day - with food shops, post office, bank, pharmacy, restaurants, and bar. Also check out a number of good local markets, at Montepulciano, Sinalunga, Montefollonico and more. A private unmade road links the house to the main road, ensuring that you'll be holidaying in quiet and undisturbed Tuscan countryside. But Le Capanne can be reached in just 30 minutes drive from the Valdichiana exit of the Rome-Florence Highway. Remarkable historical and cultural sites are nearby: Montepulciano, Pienza, Montalcino, Cortona, Chiusi, Monte San Savino, Siena, Arezzo, Perugia and Lake Trasimeno are all within 20 and 75 minutes' drive. And the thermal spas and bathing at Chianciano, Bagno Vignoni, Bagni San Filippo and Rapolano are no more than half hour's drive away. There are three swimming pools within 10km, and tennis courts, horse riding and mountain bike hire nearby.
