See the personal website of the owner" The apartment "La Fortezza" is therefore surrounded by nature and protected from the large garden and at the same time is located in a central, convenient location just a short walk from the town center (ca.300m) where you can find supermarket, pharmacy, bank, medical and many good restaurants and bars. The seaside with free beaches and bathing establishments is just a few minute far too (ca.400m). You can reach it on foot or by BICYCLE! For the amusement of children (but not only) to approx. 300m is also the entertainment park "IL CAVALLINO MATTO". "La Fortezza" is also a perfect place for daily trips around Tuscany. Within about 10km you can visit the charming medieval town of CASTAGNETO CARDUCCI, the fascinating BOLGHERI introduced by the famous “Viale dei Cipressi” that inspired the poet Carducci or the exclusive SAN VINCENZO. For contacting the history of this place you can visit the suggestive ARCHEOLOGICAL PARK OF POPULONIA and the ARCHEOMINERAL PARK OF SAN SILVESTRO (ca.20Km). Unmissable seaside resorts are the beautiful GOLFO DI BARATTI, with his Caribbean beach, clear sea and pine forest or the small bay of CALA VIOLINA, surrounded by pine forest with fine sand and clear waters. From Piombino (ca.30Km) is also possible to make daily trips to ISOLA D'ELBA. Close and very interesting are the many places of the Maremma Livornese countryside in which you can get lost walking through olive groves and vineyards! BY CAR: FROM BOLOGNA-FIRENZE, take the highway A1 Florence-Rome. Take the exit "Firenze Scandicci" and take the SGC Firenze-Pisa-Livorno. After about 60Km following Highway A12/E80 direction Rome. After about 30 km climb to the SS1 Aurelia towards Rome. After about 20Km take the exit “Donoratico”. FROM THE EXIT “DONORATICO”: At the roundabout take the 4th exit to Marina di Castagneto Carducci-Donoratico. Continue straight over the roundabout, pass the playground "Il Cavallino Matto" and turn right into via Padre Carlo Lano. Go straight following the road, at the church turn right then immediately turn left into Via Lorenzo il Magnifico, and finally turn right into Via del Poggetto. The Villa and the large park is on the right. FROM GENOVA, take the highway A12/E80 towards Livorno-Florence. After about 200 km climb to the SS1 Aurelia towards Rome. After about 20Km take the exit Donoratico. From the exit “Donoratico” follow the directions above. FROM ROMA take the A12 to Civitavecchia, continue on the SS1 Aurelia towards Grosseto-Livorno. After approx. 180km take the exit Donoratico. From the exit “Donoratico” follow the directions above.
