It is close to the modern city of Salerno with its beautiful front see boulevard. From Salerno and Amalfi there are daily connections with Positano and the isle of Capri. If you are interested in Roman archaeology and history, a visit to Pompei is a must. Vestiges of ancient Greek classic temples are not far away in Paestum.
