apartment in villa with garden - Venice Lido

"We had a lovely week in the apartment. Carla the owner was very friendly, helpful and hospitable. When we arrived she was there to meet us, had provided a lovely bowl of fruit and a bottle of wine! The accommodation is excellent and the garden's a real delight. The location is ideal, a retreat from the bustle of Venice to the relative peace of The Lido. Carla provided us with three bikes (sufficient for our group) and this was very useful in helping us get about. We would recommend it without hesitation."

"We had a wonderful stay in this apartment. It is located in a wonderful villa in Lido, a green oazis 10 minutes away from Venice. The host is extremely nice and accommodating. The apartment is spacious, and comfortable, it is full of character,it has all facilities you need during the holidays including a washing machine and microwave. But there are some features that make it unique in Venice. It has a garden and bikes to be used by guests. You can take a bike ride in the morning to buy fresh produce for breakfast, go to the baech or just ride around to look at beautiful villas and gardens of Lido. Then you go to do your sightseeing in Venice, which however beautiful is a litle claustrophobic, and you return to a fabulous villa with a garden over a canal. Perfect place! The host is more than hospitable. Just imagine a basket full of fresh fruit waiting for you upon arrival. Thanks Carla for making it such a great holiday!!!!"

"Das venezianische Haus hat eine sehr gute Lage, bis zum vaporetto (so eine Art Wasserstraßenbahn) braucht man ca. 10 minuten zu Fuß oder man nimmt den Bus, dessen Haltestelle direkt um die Ecke ist. Den feinsandigen Strand erreicht man in 8 minuten Fussweg und ist idealer Erholungsort. Schnell findet man auch eine Bäckerei, Metzger, Drogerie und einige Restaurants. Unsere Wohnung war sehr gut ausgestattet, besonders die im Art Deco Stil gebauten Holzmöbel erreichen eine edle und doch gemütliche Atmosphäre. Die Küche bietet Allerlei an Gerätschaften, Geschirr, Tücher und Gewürzen, man braucht also nichts mitzubringen. Wir wurden sehr herzlich von der Gastgeberin begrüßt und verabschiedet. Ein Plätzchen, das ich auf alle Fälle weiterempfehlen möchte. "

"A perfect place to enjoy Venice: quiet, spacious, warm (central heating is working very well)and very near to all attractions: The vaporetto station is ca. 8 minutes walk from the house, alternatively the bus stop is just nearby. The vaporetto boat takes you in ca. 10 minutes to San Marco, even in winter you have not to wait more than 10 minutes. You can easily make everything walking or by bike, there's no need for a car. And there's a special boat (alilaguna) direct to the airport in 50 minutes. The flat is very well equipped, even the kitchen with microwave. Everything is very clean, there are plenty of towels and very good blankets - very good in winter. You can use - specially in summer - the very nice garden as well as some bikes. Shops and bakerys are very nearby. But the best of course is Carla and her husband and their friend Nadia. They were so friendly and helpful in everything. Problems with our season ticket for vaporetto - no problem, Carla managed it. And as very warm welcoming she prepared a christmas tree, a big basket with fruits, a bottle of prosecco, some chocolats, a panettone cake and some food for the start (oil, sugar, salt, pasta, coffee etc.)for us. We hope to come back very soon to Lido. "
