With an ideal location to enjoy sun, good food and very little decent wines, as well as cycling (both flat and with some little hills) and canoing if interested to explore the Poitevin swamp !!! "

" Enjoy a cup of tea or ice-cream along the Vendée river after a cycling promenade, at the "Gétréen" piano-bar, in the village. Visit the dried flowers shop, in the village too (the owner is the mayor), and have a walk in the flower fields. Taste the Vendée traditional food at "La Belle Epoque", a bar-restaurant, on each Friday evening : really tasty and reasonable ! "

Really easy to get there by motorway, either through Paris and A10 motorway until Niort and then Fontenay le Comte (A83) ; or through Nantes and A83 motorway until Fontenay le Comte. Then, Le Gué de Velluire is 12 km South bound in direction of MARANS / La Rochelle, from the motorway exit, on D 938 first and on D25 (west bound) from VIX crossing.
