Chalet - Le Grand Bornand

"We spent a week here in January 2011 and thought the chalet was fantastic. It's spacious, light, well-equipped and very comfortable. The bedding is of a very high standard and there is under-floor heating on the first floor which contributes to the general comfortable atmosphere. We had 6 children under 10 in our party and felt the chalet was plenty big enough for us all. The older children enjoyed the upstairs television area away from the adults. We booked the children into the ESF ski school a short drive away (1 min), it was slightly too far to walk with all the gear, but the better skiers could at least return on foot via the Outalays lift as it is a 2 minute walk. There is hardly any mention of the hammam/steam room on the website but we enjoyed using it every evening after a hard day on the slopes. Just one comment if you intend taking very young children to this chalet - there is a high chair, cot and baby bath but unfortunately there is no plastic crockery or glasses or small-sized cutlery so plan on taking your own."

"Petite précision concernant la facturation des verres cassés : 3€/verre ou 4€/verre apéritif. Dans le cas présent, il sagissait de 2 verres à remplacer donc six euros pour les deux. Le prix fixé est celui dachat, aucun bénéfice dessus !"
