house / villa - ILE DE RE

"This was our first time staying on Il De Re and we will definitaly be coming back! The house was perfect, in a great location with the market, beach and restaurants just a short stroll away. Le Bois was pretty quiet and chilled out but we were there in september so i imagine it may be far busier in the summer months. Francois who looks after the property is lovely, very friendly and helpful. We didn't have the best weather but it didnt really matter which shows what a special place this is. The only slight downside was the bathroom as it could do with a bit of an update but thats it!"

"A lovely clean house with all you could need for a holiday rental. Overall it was a great place to stay, especially the location. There were however a few drawbacks having small children (two year old twins) One being the lack of handrail down to the basement. A lock on the door down to the basement would have been useful. Also the lack of parking outside the property, was a downside as when they fell asleep after a day out, having to park the car up the road and then wake them up to walk back or transferthem into the buggy was awkward at times."

"Ein sehr hübsches Haus, bestens ausgestattet und mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Mitten im Ortskern gelegen, in der Nähe des Marktes und anderer Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, trotzdem sehr ruhig. Auch zum schönen Sandstrand ist es nicht weit (ca. 1 km). Im geschlossenen, nicht einsehbaren Hof ist man ganz für sich. Wir haben zwei erholsame Wochen auf Ré verbracht. Das Auto wurde am Ankunftstag geparkt und bis zur Heimreise nicht mehr bewegt. Die Insel lässt sich wunderbar per Fahrrad oder zu Fuß erkunden. Sehr nette Kontakte zur Eigentümerin und zur Ansprechpartnerin vor Ort."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Le Bois Plage. The house is exquisitely decorated and reflects the care put into it by the owners. We particularly appreciated eating our meals in the newly refurbished courtyard. The location is ideal for anyone who would like easy access to a village centre and beach although it is very full of tourists every day and wouldn't suit someone wanting an isolated location. We would recommend taking bikes if you are able to do so although they are reasonable to rent and readily available. We hope to return again."
