The marina has many excellent restaurants and bars and from here you can take boat trips or take the foot ferry across the Mar Menor. Long stretches of unspoilt beaches and the famous therapeutic mud are only a few hundred metres away, and a great variety of water sports close by. The apartment has a wide balcony, full air conditioning, underfloor heating, two double bedrooms with balcony and great views, a fitted kitchen and two bathrooms. "

See the personal website of the owner" The two distinct seas, soft breezes, sunny days and significant sporting infrastructures makes La Manga a water sports paradise. La Manga also offers a great variety of other activities to suit all tastes such as guided walking tours, scenic costal hikes, horse riding, fishing, pleasure flights and bird watching at the nearby nature reserves. Blue flag beaches and boat trips also make this a favourite place for all the family. There are boat trips from the marina to local islands in both the Med and the Mar Menor. In addition there is a full size go-kart track. The road which runs through La Manga has been built with a cycle-lane and there’s an absence of hills throughout the strip. You can hire cycles for free. The world famous La Manga Club is 20 minutes drive away with many quality golf courses close by. The historic cities of Cartagena (30 mins away) and Murcia (60 mins drive) are well worth visiting for the shopping, Roman monuments and sightseeing. Cartagena is full of interesting architecture, has many museums, and an historic marina with tourist trips around the harbour. The shopping in the historic centre is great and the fiestas are renound. Murcia also has a zoo, water park and acquarium. Further afield you can take a scenic tour through the local mountains or visit the flamingos at the San Pedro salt lakes. Relax and enjoy - in La Manga you can rest, practice sport and also get to know the local history, or participate in the traditional fiestas of the area, the choice is yours. "

Means of access :
Nearest Airport: Murcia San Javier: 45 km. There are frequent low cost flights to both Murcia's San Javier and Alicante airports. Murcia Airport is a 40 minute drive and Alicante is 90 minutes. Taxis and car hire are available at both airports and airport transfers can be arranged. It is not necessary to hire a car since we are just a couple of minutes walk from a well stocked supermarket (ideal for self-catering), coffee shops, bakery and several restaurants and bars. The beaches are only a few minutes walk away. Next to us you will find a 5 star luxury spa hotel where you can drop in for a cocktail at the bar, a meal in the panoramic restaurant or a luxury spa treatment. The marina is an easy 20 minute stroll away (or 3 minute bus ride) with a variety of excellent restaurants and bars. If you wish to go sightseeing or shopping in Cartagena or Murcia you can catch a bus from the strip. There is a bus stop a few hundred yards from the apartment and buses run a regular circular route along the strip for only 1 euro.In the area:

Fantastic apartment with wonderful views over the harbour and beaches within easy walking distance. The apartment is very well equipped with air conditioning for those hot summer nights! Cheryl is a friendly and helpful owner. Highly recommeded - we intend to return!

"Appartement très lumineux, très bien entretenu, parfaitement équipé et doté d''une vue extraordinaire sur le port de plaisance. Le seul reproche est l''éloignement du centre animé de la Manga qui oblige a prendre systématiquement son véhicule pour faire un peu de shopping et découvrir les restaurants locaux. "

"Appartement super équipé moderne tout est ok 2 chambres spacieuses 2 salles de bains tout est OK super vue sur le port et la mer.vu la date notre séjour (un peu trop tôt dans la saison)peu de monde!mais super marché à proximité.(200m)au départ de belgique vol pas cher de Charleroi vers murcia +/-80€ aller retour par personne mais mieux est de louer une voiture à l'aéroport car pour voyager un peu dans le secteur on ne sort que d'un côté( voir google earth) mais il y a aussi un bateau régulier qui vous fais la traversée.(mercadonna à l'entrée de la manga le moins cher des super marché et du choix!)Bonnes vacances!"

"location conforme au descriptif et a notre attente, zone calme et agréable, belle vue sur le port et la lagune, plages et commerces à proximité équipement video dvd et cd correct(anglophone) et documention personnelle du propriétaire très compléte pour passer un très agréable et reposant séjour en famille la manga del mar est une belle zone touristique et acueillante avec un climat très agréable nous pensons y revenir l''an prochain"
