" The cottage is located in quiet scenic area close to all amenities (beaches, historical sites, etc...) and ideal as base for day trips to other parts of North West Ireland.
The area is dotted with Fairy Forts, Ring Forts, Standing Stones and Dolmens and ruined Abbeys. The breathtaking coast of North West Mayo has many sight seeing trips within an easy drive of the property. Ceide Fields and Downpatrick Head are half an hour away. The area is known for it`s excellent fishing both sea and river and has excellent golf courses at Enniscrone, Ballina and Bellmulet. A beautiful and desserted beach is 2km from the cottage.

The cottage is situated 5 km from the historic town of Killala, in County Mayo and 2 km from Kilcummen Pier where General Humbert and the French landed. The town has numerous pubs and coffee shops, grocery store, butcher, Post Office and garage.
The main town of Ballina with large supermarkets etc... is approx 25 minutes drive by car.
Recently modernised to include ensuite bathroom and garden terrace.
Sea fishing in boats with local fishermen can be arranged on request. "

At the airport you take the M50 SOUTHBOUND and look out for the N4 EXIT and stay on this road all the way to Longford.
In this town look for the N 5 road and stay on it until the town of Charlestown where about 5 minutes outside you take the right turn onto the N 26 which brings you into Swinford.
Stay on this road (N26) all the way into Ballina.As you enter Ballina just keep driving straight and you will come to the Killala road R314
