From there you can easily reach all the main Tuscan cities, worldwide known for their cultural and artistic treasures, such as Florence, Arezzo, Siena, San Gimignano and Volterra. Upper floor apartment with large panoramic terrace with a beautiful view on Florence/Valdarno area with a table and chairs. Kitchenette with convection oven, freezer and kitchen equipment. See the personal website of the owner" Restaurant of typical tuscan cuisine: hand-made Porcini mushrooms filled ravioli and the Pappardelle with wild boar ragout. What make our restaurant so wellknown are also our mixed grilled and roast-meats, together with the Florentine T-Bone steak cooked in the wood-burning oven, the wild boar and game dishes. Not to forget our famous "fritto" (mixed fried food) made, as our grandmothers used to do, in the old black frying-pan. "

We are in front of the Church. From Florence (no Motorway) – At the A1 Motorway “FIRENZE SUD” Exit follow directions to Grassina .Once there, after the square, turn left to S. "Our stay in this house in April 2013 was very nice. The house is beautiful, freshly renovated, it has a fully equipped kitchen and spacious rooms. The bathroom is large with a washing machine. From the apartment you have a beautiful landscape to Florence and otherside to valley of Arno. The little village is close to Florence and Greve in Chianti, it''s a good base for excursion in the countryside. Good starting point for exploring Chianti by car, not really suitable without car. The owner-family is very friendly and helpful, you feel as a very welcome guest. On the ground-floor the owners have a very fine restaurant. Don’t miss to visit and let spoil yourself with the excellent Italian cooking. From there you have a amazing sight to the lights of Florence. We have enjoyed our staying very much and we would like to thank you for your kind hospitality. "

"It was an amazing week in Tuscany in the heart of Chianti region. The place is beutiful, it is close to Firenze and Siena. Owners are very friendly and helpful (they will advice you what to visit, you will get maps and a welcome wine of the house production :-). There were no problems with anything. A bit of Italian language is required though to communicate, but this is also not a problem. If you want to spend time in Tuscany come to Poggio alla Croce and you won't be dissapointed."

"In de beschrijving van de huisraad stond vermeld: vaatwasser, hi-fi installatie, haardroger, private parking. Deze waren niet aanwezig. Het aantal m2 klopte ook niet, was kleiner. Dit is met de eigenaar besproken; de foto''s kwamen wel overeen, maar wij hadden echt het idee dat de inventaris toebehoorde aan een ander appartement. De vaatwasser is volgens mij al door hem van de site gehaald."

"We stayed here in the spring of 2009, although the weather was more like summer with temperatures reaching in the mid 30's. The appartment was really excellent, with two large bedrooms, a large living room, a nice bath room, and a large balcony, with a gorgeous view on the Western part of Florence. The owners were extremely friendly and very helpful. The restaurant under the appartment provided us with the opportunity to eat excellently nearby and the option to attend a cooking course, which one of us also did. Any next visit for us in this part of Italy will certainly be here again. The village itself also provides some options for nice walks around. Florence can easily be reached from here which we did by train from Figline, which is about 10 min by car from the appartment. In Figline a large supermarket as well as an internet point can be found."
