Old nineteenth century rural house, lately restored, beautifully landscaped, at only 900 mt. from the shore, before the Eolie islands

Our Family staid in Villa Oceri in the beginning of july. What a lovely place. We enjoyed the calmness, and also the coolness compared to other places we have staid, properly becauce of the positions close to the mountains, but also becauce of the buildings thick walls. The flat contain all your need for your stay, and we found it extremely clean and good qality furnitures(especially beds).The garden was equipped with many places to relax ore eat, and a couple of terraces to each appartment. We realy felt we had lots of space. The owner, Sara and Guiseppe was the most pleasent host we could ask for, and really make you feel very welcome in there house. It was a perfect place for our small children, becauce of the big garden and friendly host. They had rebuilt this house in a very nice and gentle way, with respect for the old arcitecture. There is some very nice beaches 7 km away but also closer to the house.The town is a little town, with shops so it is easy to buy food or go to restaurants. We would love to visit Villa Oceri again.

"We (family of 4) stayed in Villa Oceri in the mid of August and it was amazing. The accommodation exceeded our expectations in terms of quality, cleanliness, space and facilities. The location is very picturesque – it’s surrounded by mountains covered in greenery from three sides – south, west and east. The garden is huge with a few dedicated “hot-spots” where we could relax depending on time of the day and our mood - e.g. a large gazebo with a set of furniture, a dining table with chairs beside the house, another set of chairs under a large parasol, and I’m not talking about chairs and benches tucked away in shady places of the garden... Adding to that an outside shower with hot & cold water makes it perfect to sit out the daytime heat - considering we were there in August the only time for the beach was either early morning or in the afternoon. One important note is that in the evenings it was much cooler and more pleasant in the garden than at the sea side in the town – possibly because of cool air coming down the mountains. Another note is about the road in front of the property – this road is a country side road leading to and ending at a village on the nearly top of the mountain. Despite this it was quite busy, even at night. There are a few nice & clean pebbly beaches in proximity. The 1st local one is about 2 km walk down the road – and on your way you would be passing by two well stocked supermarkets and a very good bakery. Another good beach is in Capo Calava, which is about 5 km away from the house. We had a car rented for the whole vacation so it was a pretty short drive thought the town Gioiosa Marea. The town itself is pleasant with plenty of shops, bars & restaurants. The quality of food was superb & not expensive. In the evenings from 10pm the main town streets were closed for traffic and converted to pedestrian zones, with music and decoration lights on. Separately I’d like to say a few words about the owners – Giuseppe and Sarah – the most welcoming and generous people who looked well after us."
