This is a place rich in groundwater, uncontaminated water courses, large beech forests and karst caves not violated and no violability from mass tourism. The apartment, completely renovated, is located in the old town and overlooking the valley from which you can enjoy the panorama of the hills of Gubbio. The accommodation, very friendly, has a new and functional toilets, a comfortable bedroom, a spacious room of 40 sqm. completely open area with double bed, kitchen, dining area, living room with sofa double bed. The apartment is ideal for relaxing moments with friends and family in front of the fireplace. The country, a place of medieval charm, is surrounded by woods for hiking or picnic just outside the walls. Free Internet wireless ADSL useful to organize your stay, also the library of the house is furnished with maps and tourist guides. Fossato of Vico is on the SS 3 Flaminia, 7 km from Gualdo Tadino and 15 km from Gubbio. From the A1 exit to Perugia where you come from north and Orte if you come from the South can also be reached by E45 Orte-Ravenna, Gubbio and exit from the A14 exit Ancona Nord. The nearest airports are Perugia and Ancona. There are Ryanair flights from London Stansted to Perugia and Ancona. Perugia airport is 45 minutes away and Ancona airport is just 1 hour from Fossato di Vico. They are both small airports and car hire pickup is very quick. The owner is available to pick you up at arrival. Of course there are many flights to Rome and driving takes 2 and half hours to us.In the area:

"The appartment is comfortable and spacious with fantastic views over the Parco Originale di Monte Cucco. Fossato di Vico is a lovely medieval village perfectly placed for visitng Umbria and Le Marche. The owner could not have been kinder or more helpful".

"Tha apartment was very clean, well presented, well equiped, has lovely furniture and great views over the roof tops to the valley below. While it will sleep four it is best suited to two people. The medievil village is lovely but you have to drive to the valley to shop and to find a place to eat. We found it to be a convenient base from which to drive to Assisi, Perugia, Gubbio etc The owners live close by and were very friendly and helpful in lots of ways including when our mobile phone failed to work and we neede to contact home."

"Logement bien meublé et confortable ou on se sent comme à la maison, très propre et aussi très calme. Le propriétaire est toujours disponible pour aider ou nous donner de l''information, ce qui est très appréciable. Si il n''y a plus de place pour se stationner devant l''appartement, il faut se stationner à l''entrée du village, qui est environ 1 à 2 minutes de marche. Les gens du village sont amicaux, surtout les propriétaires du café à l''entrée du village. La vue de l''appartement est splendide."

"Très bon séjour. Appartement vaste dans une demeure ancienne très bien située au coeur du village médiéval et à deux pas du mont Cucco. Propriétaire amical et disponible. Si vous parlez italien, n''hésitez-pas à cotoyer les gens du village car ils sont très amicaux."
