" Casa Colonna is a charming and elegant apartment completely renovated in June 2011 and tastefully decorated with all modern comforts including the air conditioning. It is located in the heart of the city center from which you step outside into the famous Piazza's open air Museum of SS Annunziata and walk to all of the city's most famous monuments within minutes. We are down the street from Duomo, short stroll to Piazza Santa Croce or Piazza della Signoria and only steps from the Uffizi. The view from the terrace on the yearly Fireworks of June 24 - to commemorate Saint John (San Giovanni)- is simply amazing! You can't find a better location from which to explore Florence! Casa Colonna is located on the third and last floor without lift (but with large and easy stairs to climb) in a small XVI Century building that once belonged to the Renaissance painter Pontormo, student of both Leonardo da Vinci and Andrea del Sarto. The View from the small terrace is simply UNIQUE facing the cupola of the Synagogue, Piazzale Michelangelo with its Church of San Miniato, Santa Croce Church, Palazzo Vecchio, Bargello, and the cupola of the Duomo. Means of access :

Train station Santa Maria Novella. The station is about 15 minutes walking from Casa Colonna. However we deeply recommend you to take a taxi, especially if you have heavy luggagges since it can be difficult pulling them across the ancient cobblestone streets! Florence's Airport - Peretola - Take a Taxi from the airport. The drive will last approx. 20 minutes,depending on traffic. Cars & Parking - ATTENTION! The entire historic center of Florence is a ZTL which means Restricted Traffic Area. Special rules govern access to this area which is closed to private cars from 07:00AM to 08:PM daily except Sundays. The only possibility to access with your own car in this area is from 08:00PM to 07:00AM. Cars should be left in private parkings closed to Casa Colonna. See the website of the parking areas at www.firenzeparcheggi.it. Anyway, we will be pleased to indicate you a couple of free areas not too far away from the city center.

"This was a beautiful apartment in Florence. It was within walking distance of all major attractions. The balcony is a welcome space to embrace the ambience of the area, whilst enjoying an early morning tea/coffee. Rosy was most willing to fulfill our every need. She provided maps, must see ideas etc. The apartment had all the mod cons we required. Our flight into Florence was quite late, and Rosy ensured there was someone waiting at the apartment to greet us. We would love to stay in this apartment when we are next in Florence. There is also an inexpensive, amazing fresh food market within 10 minutes walking distance. You have to go in the morning, as they pack up about 1 pm."

"We enjoyed Firenze and Casa Colonna a lot! Beautiful, clean, cosy and very well-equipped apartment. Friendly welcome. Useful tourist information -folder. "We had a wonderful time both in Florence and especially in this great appartment. The owner, Rosy was very friendly from the first contact by e-mail till the departure. Also the location of the apartment with just 10 minutes walk to the duomo was great. One of the best things about the apartment was the wonderful view to the duomo, both during the day as well as at night. "We had a really great time in Rosy's appartment. Very clean. Fully furnished, up to smallest details. Amazing for those who enjoy food and like to cook (supermarkets and open markets nearby). The flat is small, but very convenient. Near all historic locations. No elevator, but we considered it as our daily workout. p.s. We had a 2 year old baby with us and it went really smooth!! We will definitely be back!"
