" The house is located in the small town of Figline Valdarno, in Tuscany, 20 km south of Florence, and is actually in a tower of the original town wall (1300 AD). The tower house is spread over 5 levels, furnished with original antique furniture and beautiful paintings, with careful attention to detail to re-create a typical medieval Tuscany style. There is an entrance on the ground floor; a huge living room (50 mq) with fireplace, a loft with double bed, bathroom with shower and kitchen on the first floor; a relaxation room with frescoes on the secon floor; on the third floor a bathroom with mosaic bath; on the fourth and top floor there is a large double bedroom. 170 m2 Ground floor: entrance and small storeroom with washing-machine. 1st floor: large living-room (air-conditioning, hi-fi) with fireplace, beautiful dining table and access to an open gallery with double bed, kitchen (oven, freezer, dishwasher, microwaves, espresso coffee maker, TV). 7 steps lower: bathroom with shower. 2nd floor: frescoed relax area with sofa and satellite TV. 3rd floor: bathroom with bathtub. 4th floor: double bedroom with air-conditioning and satellite TV. See the personal website of the owner" The tower house is in the centre of Figline, and a 25 min drive to the centre of Florence, Arezzo, Greve (Chianti). Just a 15 min drive away there is the shopping precinct "THE MALL" with designer outlets (Gucci, Ferragamo, Armani, Valentino, Burberry etc), as well as Dolce & Gabbana, Prada and Trussardi, all of which offer fantastic discounts. Fly to PISA airport (www.pisa-airport.com), low cost flights with Ryanair, Thomsonfly and EasyJet from: London Stansted, Liverpool, Frankfurt Hahn and Coventry, Doncaster/Sheffield. http://www.ryanair.com http://www.thomsonfly.com http://www.easyjet.com From Pisa Airport there are regular trains to Florence: there are 8 trains a day leave for Florence between 6.40am and around 10.20pm. The journey takes about 75 minutes and costs 5,10 euro. For more informations: http://www.trenitalia.it . Alternatively fly to Florence airport (www.aeroporto.firenze.it): Lufthansa, Air France, Meridiana. The airport is connected to Santa Maria Novella station in Florence by blue SITA buses, which run every 30 minutes between 6am and 8.30pm, then every hour until 11.30pm. The journey takes 20 minutes and tickets, which cost 4 euro, can be bought on board. The Vola in Bus runs to Piazza Adua (next to SMN) every 30 minutes between 6am and 11.30pm, cost 4 euros. Taxis cost around 16 euro, plus possible surcharges. Car rental available at the airports and city. Alternative airtport is Bologna (www.bologna-airport.it) 105 km northeast of Florence in the Emilia Romagna region.In the area:
