" Casa Albayda is a RIAD (lodging place) located in the very heart (center) of the Essaouira`s MEDINA (Old town) which is surrounded by the sea. Its recent rebuild has preserved the architectural style of this beautiful Moroccan Cty which in 2002 was declared a Mankind Heritage (Patrimonio de la Humanidad). Entering the town is an invitation to peace and relax, increased by the sound of surf and the singing of the birds. The inside (interior) of the house offers the visitor one of the most spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean, from second and third floors. It is very close to the mythical Moulay El Hassan Square, and the Port as well.The wide long beach offers the possibility of practicing aquatic sports. ---------- Description of the Riad : It fits:7 people : (6 grownups + 1 baby) Ground floor.-Kitchen totally furnished, large sitting room with fire-place, dining room with a small fountain, one bed-room including bath-room. First floor.-Large bed-room; and bath-room not included inside, containing a special bath-tub.There is also a baby’s cradle. Second floor: Sitting-room with fire-place, bed-room with bath-room inside, and a terrace Third floor: solarium overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. The terrace as well as the solarium are equipped with outward furniture. The whole Riad has been recently rebuilt with modern materials. Fire-places and bath-rooms painted in the “tadlak” Moroccan style. "

"We had a lovely holiday in Essaouira. The house is a home from home. Its in a great location just a few moments from the shops, stalls and restaurants. Miloud & Wafaa who look after the house are very welcoming & helpful with any queries & problems. Wafaa prepared a fabulous breakfast every morning & keep the house in perfect condition. The only downside to the holiday was the building work in the neighbouring property. This did cause some distrubance throughout the day & occasionally at night. This is only temporary however I would check with the owner to ensure the noise does not affect your holiday. We would definately stay here again once the building works are completed."

Gorgeous riad with great view of the ocean. Excellent amenities including fireplace and luxurious bathrooms. Excellent food as well. Highly recommended.

"Had a fantastic time - villa is beautifully decorated, set at the heart of the Medina with great views from the terrace. The villa is hosted by two - three housekeepers who are very very helpful, showing us around the Medina, keeping the villa clean, making sure we were all comfortable at all times and cooking wonderful food. There are no cars within the Medina so porters were arranged to meet us on our arrival to take our baggage to the ryad. A friend of the owner was also on hand and helped throughout our stay advising on places to eat and go, and organising an afternoon of horse riding for us."
