The property is in a lovely location and perfect for touring the Somme battlefields. It was so peaceful there and we were very comfortable for the duration of our stay. The owners were extremely helpful both prior to, and during, our visit.

"A very comfortable cottage...everything you could possibly need. We loved the wood heater...we were very cosy on the Somme. The cottage is a great location for anyone wanting to visit the WW1 memorials. Wonderful to wake up each day to such a beautiful view over the water and to watch the birds and changing light on the water. Thank you to Aurelie and Francois for your excellent and friendly communication."

"The house is in the heart of the Somme Valley. A little known area of peace, beauty and tranquility. If you are a Great War historian, there is no better place to stay than here, as you can visit the monuments and war graves and returnhome to peace tranquility and quiet reflection. Nature abounds here. Marsh Harriers, Cormorants, Cuckoos and many more species of wild birds. The house is like staying in a real home. The wood stove is excellent and there is a well stocked bookshelf. There are lovely walks and many beautiful places to look at. If you like a home that feels comfortable this is it. The surroundings are typically bucolic French and the local peole that we met were friendly and helpful. We will certainly stay here again and hope that you too will enjoy your visit."

"My friends and I were very happy with the property. It is situated in an idyllic setting right on the bank of the River Somme and is very private - the view is fantastic. East access by car (it would be difficult to get to the house without one)and plenty of parking space. Everything had been arranged, in a friendly and helpful manner before our departure (via email). Although the owner does not live locally, everything was in order when we arrived - the house was clean and tidy, the grass freshly mown. I contacted the owners on return to thank them and to suggest one or two minor things for improvement. We really enjoyed our stay and I would love to go again."

Wir hatten eine schöne Woche in diesem Ferienhaus. Das Haus war sauber und gut ausgestattet. Die Lage ist traumhaft für Naturliebhaber und Angler. Leider war das Wetter nicht nicht gut. Wir hatten viel Regen und es war sehr kalt. Mit besten Grüssen aus Leverkusen Familie Roland Bonke
