The Tower House provides an ideal base for exploring the surrounding countryside and for walking in Scotland's southern uplands. For cyclists, the cottage is perfectly located for 3 of the 7 Stanes mountain bike centres. Nearby Thornhill, a beautiful village, offers a number of shops and banks. The larger town of Dumfries, is just 9 miles away and offers a wide range of facilities including swimming pool and museums. "

"A well appointed, clean and comfortable cottage situated in rural Dumfries and Galloway. Lots to see and do within an hour or so''s drive including the Solway coast, Caerlaverock Castle, the Galloway Dark Sky centre and several medium size towns. Great walking country with both gentle countryside nearby and some more demanding fells. My teenage boys loved the games room and all in all we were delighted with this lovely cottage."

"maison très agréable et très bien équipée. Elle est bien située et permet de découvrir la région facilement. Elle se trouve dans un petit hameau de campagne. Sur place, nombreuses documentations et cartes régionales permettant de bien planifier son séjour (la région n'est pas envahie par les touristes, les sites et paysages sont superbes)."
