Located in a small very peaceful village, flowered-covered veranda and a large terrace upstairs, close to beautiful pebbly and rocky beaches, close to historical site Knidos, most well-known historical beauty of Datca's peninsula, warm thanks to exceptional breeze from west and newly restored thick old-fashioned stone walls. Our house is very convenient for a couple with or without childre. Quiet environment except noises of occasional farmer's animals. If you wish to visit Istanbul, I have a flat in Burgazada, one of the Prince's islands of Istanbul, which has the same calme environment as Datca but at the same time close to Istanbul by ferries regular.
Baglarozu is one of the most virgin, quiet and untouched beaches of Datca peninsula. You can drive there in 5 minutes from the house but you have to take your food and water with you. Several nice restaurants and home-made food for all budgets in Palamutbuku on the coast. I can advise you some of them. In my absence my friend may give you all those infos, you may also participate her hiking programmes. It is 10 minutes from the house by car. Markets in the nearest villages Yazikoy, Cesmekoy and Palamutbuku. In Yakakoy, a nice village overlooking the sea, meals of Yaka Mengen restaurant is very delicious, and you may buy your honey and soap from Balhane right across the restaurant YakaMengen. Local people are exceptionally friendly. Very basic needs, such as milk, water, bier can be provided from the very small grocery just 50 meters from our house. YOu may also buy newly collected fruits and vegetables and almonds and green olives from my neighbours close to my house. I will give you other hints and tips before your departure. Datca has exceptional beauty in spring as well as in Sept, until the end of Oct.
The closest airport to Datca is at Dalaman. I strongly advise you to hire your car from Dalaman that is the best way to discover the natural beauty, scattered villages and secrets of Datca Peninsula. It takes 3,5 hours from Dalaman airport to Datca, town center. From Datca to the village Yazikoy's Belenkoy neighbourhood, it takes 40 minutes. YOu may also take the ferry from Bodrum and then drive to the village through following the sign "Knidos" ancient city to Yazikoy.
"My stay at this village house was exactly what I''d hoped for and exactly as portrayed on the website. I enjoyed the peaceful countryside but also appreciated that a local bus passes by the house several times each day so that I could visit other villages on the peninsula as well as Datca, which has fine shopping and restaurants. The owner and her friend (who lives in a nearby village) were very attentive and helpful. The house itself is clean and beautiful. I particularly enjoyed the large, fully-equipped kitchen with lots of windows, a fireplace and big wooden table. It''s how most of us would want our own kitchens to be! The big front porch and upstairs veranda were comfortable. There was plenty of hot water with lots of pressure any time of the day or night. Also, plenty of lights throughout. These ladies really thought of everything I could possibly need. I was there alone but I think it would be a lovely retreat for a family. Rebecca from Los Angeles"
"The house is exactly as advertised. It is in a real (non-tourist) small village in the hills. It is very comfortable and clean. The village is very quiet, the views from the veranda beautifull, the local people very friendly and the local bread and vegetables very tasty! Nearby beaches - both in the direction of Knidos and Palamutbuku are very good, with very few people. The climate is also a big bonus becuase of the constant notrh-westerly breeze wich means there is no humidity. We also did some improvised walks in the hills surrounding the village - you can just take any of the dirt roads leading out of the village and follow it. All in all we had a wonderful week! So, if you loke deserted beaches, country walks and if you like to get away from it all - we would recommend this house with no reservations."
