Apartment/ flat - Courmayeur

"Good cop, bad cop. I do not recommend this place for a number of reasons. 1. NO PARKING NEARBY. There is only one street in town where cars can park and there are never any available spaces. If you want to park on main street you need to pay meter fee from 9:00 am to 20:00pm. It is 10 euros per day plus you can pay only for 4 hours at a time which is highly inconvenient. 2. This house is located on top of the hill. To get to the house from the lift, you need to walk for 10-15 minutes up the hill with your gear. The only other option is to get storage for skies in a rent shop close to the lift. 3. The house owners were rude, inconsistent and unwelcoming. They were playing "good cop, bad cop." The male owner, the only one we ever dealt with or met, was the "good guy" and blamed his wife for everything that went wrong. He would deny us things and blame his wife saying that she has all the money and he would do things for us if it was not for her.We never met or saw this wife. One of our girls arrived earlier than everybody else. Initially he allowed her to remain in the house and she fell asleep. He returned an hour later and asked her to leave the house, moved her belongings out of the house and declared that his wife insisted that the fee needs to be paid first and the decision to make our friend leave was the wife's. The owner overcharged up 50 euros that were not in the contract and then refused to refund them because "he does not have any money and only his wife does." 5. It makes sense to stay in the "Grand Chalet". It is a little bit more expensive but it is worth it (it is 2 minutes from the lift, has sauna, gym, great service)."

"A very nice town. Very good slopes, facilities and service in the skiing area. The location of the flat is very good but not in accordance with the advert. No private parking lot. Parking in the street only, maybe due to snow in the drive. No microwave and skilocker. Defect hair dryer and outdoor furniture only for 4 people. By e-mails we were informed that the kitchen and the living room were big. Incorrect. The kitchen is very small, there is no ventilator, and the living room is also small. The sofa only got space for 4-6 people and the dining table 8 people. Especially the kitchen and the bathrooms were partly filthy. Dusty bedrooms and spiders webs at several places. We were told there should be two bathrooms. In reality there is one bathroom and a seperate shower in a "cupboard"! and a separate toilet with only cold water. One good thing, the heating was good."

"Location is perfect, few minuts to the ski lift Courmayeour, no problems with parking a car, apartments are very cozy and warm, it was pleasant staying. Will come again with plaesure. Would be simply perfect to have small outside BBQ)))"

"Appartamento inserito in un bellissimo contesto, molto comodo per accedere sia agli impianti sciistici sia per una passeggiata serale in centro paese (è davvero vicinissimo!!). La mancanza del parcheggio non crea nessun problema dato che se ne trovano tranquillamente anche non a pagamento nelle immediate vicinanze. La casa in sè è molto grande e ci ha accolti tutti e 10 tranquillamente, sarebbe solo forse da aggiornare e ristrutturare un po'' in alcuni particolari ma tutto sommato, considerando anche il costo inferiore alla media, mi ritengo soddisfatto del nostro soggiorno natalizio a Courmayeur."
