Chalet Petit Ruisseau is situated within the peaceful village of Champex Lac at an altitude of 1420m in the Swiss canton of Valais, bordering on both the French and Italian Alps. We consider Champex Lac to be one of the best kept secrets of the region with the friendliness and familiarity of a small community, but within easy reach of the many and varied attractions this area holds.

Means of access Geneva airport is approx 1.5 hours by car. You can travel by Rail via Martigny to Orsieres, which is just a 15minute bus ride from the Chalet.
Hints and Tips Spring, Summer and Autumn: In summer the well-marked network of walking and hiking routes allow one to enjoy the local wildlife, fauna and the delightful scenery of the Swiss mountain countryside. Champex is on the Mont Blanc to Zermatt route, and on the Route Mont Blanc. From the chalet three glaciers can be reached, with two refuges within a 4 to 6 hour walk from the top of the village chair lift.
Winter: In Champex itself there is a charming crowd free resort with 25km of piste with four ski lifts including a nursery slope, also a further 30km of cross country routes. A small branch of Swiss Snowsports School (SSS) operates, two restaurants on the mountain cater for the resort.
The 4 Vallées is Switzerland’s largest lift-linked ski area and one of the world’s biggest, with 400km (250 miles) of piste and a tremendous vertical of 2509m (8239 feet, the bottom lift at La Chable is under 30 minutes drive from the Chalet. Also within 30 minutes are the smaller quiter resorts of La Foully, Bruson, Liddes and Super St-Bernard. Chamonix is only 90 minutes away.
