The original construction of the 18th century has been restored leaving all the characteristic features (wood beamed ceilings, tiles and terracotta floors, stonewalls) and adding a fresh touch mixing ancient pieces of furniture and objects of the past with new stylish ideas. The apartment is composed by 1 double bedroom (with 1 extra bed available), 1 bathroom with W/C, shower/bathtub, and 1 big kitchen with french windows opening to the garden. Once used as a horse stall, this floor still preserves some charming features as an old stonemanger in the bedroom. Our garden area (in common with guests of 2° floor apartment), equipped with barbecue, deck chairs and spacious tables with set of comfortable chairs in wood and forged iron, is an irresistible call for garden breakfasts or candlelight dinners. Our swimming pool on a shady ground is a real blessing after a hot summer day. A horse ride by the private nearby manège is another of the possible activities.

Means of access Wheter you come from north or south Italy, take the A1 motorway and exit at "Firenze Certosa", at the roundabout take the highway Firenze-Siena on your right and drive for about 20 km (15 miles) until the exit of "Poggibonsi Nord" (the 5th one). Once exited, follow directions to Certaldo (12 km) and, when there,for "Tavarnelle Val di Pesa". At about 2 km out of Certaldo you will come to a small bridge with guard-rails: turn 1st left to "Mugnano" and then 2nd right following the blue signs to "Bacio" then, when after 2 km you find a riding club board by the road, take the little street uphill on your left: we are at number 95. Welcome!
Hints and Tips By the farmhouse: trekking/mountain bike tracks,horse riding school (by private manège)for lessons or unforgettable rides throught the country up until the medieval town of Certaldo Alto. In Certaldo Alto: restaurants, pizzerias, souvenirs, tipical food and wines shops.Downtown Certaldo: grocery stores, banks, supermarkets, trainstation with lines to Florence and Siena. Sport facilities in Certaldo and in the surrounding area: tennis courts, olympic swimming pool, football ground, golf course, haunting and fishing spots,jogging tracks in green park amongst woods. In mid July in Certaldo Alto takes place "Mercantia", a folkloristic festival of popular teatre and street bands (www.mercantiacertaldo.it). Distances from main touristic attractions: Florence and Siena 30 km, San Gimignano 12, Volterra 35, Pisa and Lucca 60.
