House with character in the historical centre, with terrace and sea view

"We had a lovely time in Milena''s house the first week of April 2013. It''s tastefully decorated, with some very nice touches. The terrace is a good size, and the view from it is spectacular - we spent a lot of our time out there and loved seeing the sea and the rock and the hills in different lights at different times of day. It gets the sun from late morning onwards, so we could soak up some sun with our morning coffee, but then enjoy the evening sun up there as well, with some gorgeous sunsets. There''s also a lovely sea view from the living room. We enjoyed using the barbeque on the terrace (including delicious grilled swordfish bought from the fish shop just off the main beach), and there''s an outside sink up there, which is handy. We enjoyed the location very much - it''s so near the Duomo square, but tucked away and untouristy and quiet (except for the next-door-neighbour''s hip hop music, but he never played it at any time that disturbed our sleep, so we didn''t really mind! In fact all of us slept incredibly well all week - partly thanks to the shutters, which make the bedrooms completely dark.). It was nice having two toilets (there''s a little one on the top floor), and the main bathroom on the ground floor is nicely equipped. The kitchen area on the ground floor, off the dining room/entry space, is pretty tiny, with not much room for food preparation, but we got used to it, and enjoyed the nice solid Smeg hob. We appreciated having two living areas - the kitchen/dining area on the ground floor, and the terrace/living room area on the top floor - it felt as though there was a lot of space for our family of four, and we could be doing separate things on separate floors if we wanted. (Most apartments we looked at had one main kitchen/living area, which wouldn''t have given us as much flexibility). Milena was very nice to deal with, and all the arrangements went smoothly. We''d definitely come back to the house again!"

The lovely house with the fantastic view from the terrace of the third floor. Really picturesque and quiet street in the heart of the city near the cathedral and main square. The house has everything you need. But on the second floor was stuffy to sleep (in late September), air conditioning is only on the 3rd floor, on the 2nd floor with two bedrooms only the fans. But in general, most good impression of the house, its owner, the town.

"Very nice old-fashioned house in 3 stores located a few minutes walk from piazza Duomo. Calm neighbourhoods just down from la Rocca, some steep streets before you get there. Lovely terasse with great sunset view. Good facilities in the house and air-condition on the top floor, fans on the second floor (one of them was broken when we got there but I guess that´s fixed by now). Milena is really friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay!"
