" Cavtat is a small medieval town, a picturesque resort with lush Mediterranean vegetation, offers secluded coves and attractive beaches with crystal clear sea, palm-lined promenade, charming cafes, traditional pavement restaurants, shops, lively bars and old architecture. The Franciscan monastery, Saint Nikola´s church, Bogisic library, Bukovac art gallery and 5km pine forest walk are just a few of its many attractions. There are also carnivals and cultural festivals held throughout the year. For the more adventurous, there is a wide range of sporting activities as hiking, Jeep safaris, riding tours and island cruises including scuba diving and aquatic sports. Dubrovnik, the 'Pearl of the Adriatic', can be reached by a leisurely 20 minute boat trip from Cavtat or a bus ride along the picturesque coastline. Memorable for its history, a treasure trove of architecture and culture, with its stunning views, marble paved streets, narrow alleyways, cosmopolitan cafes and restaurants, it lives up to its well deserved title.
