" Gîte Description The Gîte is in the old expanded Guardian's appartment and is on two floors on the west side of the central courtyard. The Gîte has been tastefully refurbished, modernised and enlarged to twice the original size with a mix of ultra modern and traditional. Terrace Some 12 x 5 metres, has table and chairs for 12, sun loungers, awning and charcoal barbecue (bag of charcoal is supplied). Heated Swimming Pool & Jaccuzzi. The 12 x 6 metres swimming pool has been designed with children in mind and has a shallow area of 1 metre running for approximately 4 metres, a panic ledge of 1 metre deep runs around the entire interior of the pool. The pool is fitted with an electric floating semi-rigid cover controlled by a key and out of reach of children, this is believed to be a safer option than alarms and fencing. 43°34'49.82"N 0°00'34.08"W google earth for picture of the area. This property was built in 1876 and is the principal house of the Hamlet of Mazères, the house was built in the 'Maison de Maitre' style and the whole site has been fully upgraded. It is known locally as the "Château de Mazères", though in reality it is not listed officially as a Château. The site is 1.5 hectares including a lawned garden. The main house is on the northern side of a large central square courtyard with a gated arched entrance building to the west which houses the gîte. There is a Grange on the south side and a picturesque stable building to the east. "
