The privilege of being alone in the quiet of the Tuscan countryside

"We were 5 ladies visiting Chianti for a relaxing break and we weren''t disappointed. Il poggino is a fabulous oasis of tranquility, set in pristine surroundings suspended above a spectacular ever changing vista. We were fortunate enough to have glorious sunny days thereby enabling full use of the infinity pool - an unexpected delight in the middle of October. We were alone at the house which may have added to our feeling of peace but the property is well laid out with several private areas for dining and lounging (we tried out most of them!) The accommodation itself is comfortable and well equipped with the exception of limited comfortable seating in the living room - we had to fight over the comfy sofa!! The use of the fireplace was an added bonus as was the provision of wood by Senior Poggino - very kind and accommodating hosts! The surrounding area is breathtaking, lovely hilltop towns with quaint streets and a plethora of stunning views -topped off naturally with Chianti Wine, great food and the best Gelato in the world - what more could you want!"

"How can you trust if the place is as good as it shows in photos? We had big expectations and everything was as good as we had expected - or in many ways, even better!!! The house is beautiful, clean and renovated with very good taste. In the nice garden/yard you can lie and sit, eat, read, play, relax and just enjoy the silence and the landcape. Swimming pool is excellent with nice views. The house is quite far away from the villages behind dusty and partly bad road, but it was not a problem for us. Because of the some neigbours you don´t have to be totally alone "in the middle of nowhere". But you can stay in your own peace, if you want to. Family Logaglio is very helpful and friendly. We were with the whole family there: 2 adults + 3 girls (15, 13 and 7 years). Stays in app. "Federico". Older girls often wanted to stay by the pool when "we" drove to the towns and villges nearby. Not bad - for all of us : ) We had an extremly good and comfortable holiday here! And some words in Finnish: sama suomeksi. Tätä voi suositella. Vähän epäilytti esimaksupolitiikka, kun piti postittaa 50 € kirjekuoressa. Mutta vahvistus saapui, varaus oli ok, ja maksoin loput käteisellä paikan päällä. Omistajiin Biagio + vaimo + n. 25 v. poika voi luottaa ja he haluavat sinun viihtyvän. En puhu ranskaa mutta opettelin vähän italian alkeita. Sillä ja elekielellä pärjäsi mainiosti. Bella Toscana ! Grillit, takkapuut, pesukone ym. maksavat erikseen, vaikkei mielestäni pitänyt. Mutta eiköhän se ole melko normaalia Tosiaalta eivät edes veloittaneet kuitenkaan pesukoneesta. Tie (n. 2 km) on pölyinen ja huono, mutta perillä odottaa mukava paikka!"

"Eine sehr schon ausgestattete Wohnung in völlig ruhiger Lage. Grandiose Aussicht, vor allem auch vom Pool aus. Wir waren sehr zufrieden."
