Country Cottage / Gite - Castellammare del Golfo

"We spent in April 2013 one week. The house is very clean and the kitchen is complete. You have privacy. You can stay here with 2 children. I recommend to rent a car. You have restaurant and shops in Castellamare del Golfo. Giovanna and his family are very nice and warm. They offer us some traditional deliciuos food. It is better if you know Italian language, but this is not a problem. We feel very very very well in this cottage. Do not hesitate, stay here you won''t be sorry. "

"We spent in April 2011 two weeks at this property and we liked the fact that the house was clean, well-furnished and with good privacy, although the house shares the same yard with the owners house, situated at about 30 meters away. The space was just enough for a family with 2 kids". Giovanna, the renter, knew to help us with good advices and even with sharing with us some traditional home made Sicilian food - really good! She knew to balance this with respecting our privacy and we truly enjoyed the company. There's certainly no luxury house, but a good balance between quality and price. If it is to search for a minus point that would be the acoustic insulation, which lets you hear the outside street noises, especially when scooters are passing by. The good part is that the street is not too busy and we were not really disturbed. ` It's best to consider renting a car (there's plenty of parking inside the yard) or at least a scooter/bicycle to be able to explore the surroundings - Scopello, the gulf beaches, the little towns around... and do not miss to spend one day in the Zingaro Nature Reserve - there's an entry point from Scopello side and another one from San Vito Cape. If your stay happens in a colder period and you cannot swim in the crystal clear sea water, I would recommend a visit at the "Terme Segestane" just few kilometres away. The thermal water (some sulphurous content) is great - clean and warm (38 degree Celsius), and the pool is not busy, open from 10h00 to 24h00. The price was fairly high 7.5 EUR/adult at the time of our stay, but it deserves a try. There's also a smaller (bubble) pool ideal for younger kids. You will need a shower cap. Enjoy your stay!

Petit gîte sympa idéal pour un couple.Voiture perso ou de location indispensable. L'accueil des propriétaires fut vraiment très sympa...Nous avons beaucoup apprécié les petits cadeaux dans le frigo à notre arrivée...et le petit plat préparé offert en cours de séjour de surcroit très délicieux.
