" The house is located in the hearth of Carloforte, a picturesque fishing village on the San Pietro Island (southern Sardinia). The San Pietro Island offers stunning beaches, high cliffs, beautiful blue sea and the wild Mediterranean landscape in the central part. Carloforte will welcome you with its typical architecture and will offer a real taste of Italy with the tiny roads, the people gathering in the main “Corso” for the evening stroll, and its famous fish dishes (“bottarga” being only the most renown). "

Travel time from Cagliari (International airport CAG) to the house is 1hr 15min, this includes a 50 minutes car drive and a 25 ferry ride. Car rental is avaiable at the airport, in Calgiari or on the island itself. It is also possible to arrange for a taxi to pick you up at the airport and bring you directly to Carloforte.In the area:

"Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour à Carloforte. La maison est très belle et confortable, très agréable et très bien équipée. Elle a l'avantage d'être très proche du centre historique (moins de 5 minutes à pied) et sur une place non piétonne très pratique pour stationner la voiture. Je recommande d'avoir un moyen de locomotion car les plages sont très proches (max 10 minutes) mais il faut s'y rendre en voiture ou louer une vespa !!! c'est très couleur locale. Nous y reviendrons !! C. B. B."
